This photograph was taken during a field trip for 'Keep a child alive' in the middle of Uganda. The girl is carrying her youngest sister on her back. She herself is 12 years old. Her parents died, so she runs the household including taking care of 5 children. 4 brothers and sisters of her own and one little boy from their former neigbours - who all died of HIV.
